Team Bondi, makers of L.A. Noire closing?!

It seems that the makers of L.A. Noire are going into 'administration.' This likely means that they're being controlled by an outside group (likely the Australian government). Some people are saying it's also close to the same thing as declaring bankruptcy. It seems that Team Bondi had very bad working conditions on the inside, so it's nothing to do with the games they've made or how much money they've made.









I hope everything ends well for the employees; after working there, it seems that going almost anywhere else would be a good thing... I'm sure after working on L.A. Noire the employees would have no problem finding jobs elsewhere. Rockstar was actually Team Bondi's publisher (and seemingly partner in a lot of the game making process); maybe some will end up working with Rockstar elsewhere? Who knows, I just hope it all goes well for them.

L.A. Noire, Tech Trailer - Facial Motion Capture

Facial Motion Capturing is a very new technology that I thought we'd only be seeing in movies for the next 30 years... however, Rockstar has already incorporated it into a video game! L.A. Noire is going to have the most realistic facial movements ever in a video game.



This is very important for the video game, because you can now tell if a person is lying or telling the truth by listening to their voice, looking at their body motion AND looking at every detail of their facial muscles, movements and wrinkles!



Every detail of a real life person is captured in this technology; there is nothing left out. We can finally start seeing very realistic video games, without fake looking lip movements, fake looking faces... I just hope that all video games get into the habit of using this awesome technology!

L.A. Noire, 51 Screenshots

L.A. Noire is coming very soon, May 17, and here are a ton of screenshots from the awesome game! This game uses a new type of facial technology that captures the motion of every muscle on a real human's face and then they transfer those motions into the game for the character facial movements.





This makes everything look incredibly realistic on the faces of people, even if they don't completely look real in the end. However, I'm sure that within the next few years (the next gen of consoles and slightly better computers), video games will become incredibly realistic, no longer able to be restricted by the limitations of terrible hardware.
