Portal 2, DLC will be free

Portal 2 came out not too long ago, but Valve has already announced that they're releasing DLC (downloadable content) for the game. Now, it has been revealed that the DLC will be free - and they didn't specify a console, so I'm guessing that means it's free on PC, PS3 and 360.

I'm surprised, because Valve usually only gives it away for free on PC and has to charge on the 360 to cover costs of releasing on the platform; however, this time they have released a game on all three platforms, two of which have Steam - allowing for instant updates through their own systems and cross-platform play between PS3 and PC.

Portal 2, Screenshots from In Game

I have played Portal 2's single player campaign and the entire thing was amazing; now, I'm playing the coop campaign and it's going extremely well! I never imagined that multiplayer of any kind would work in Portal, but it does! Here are a few screenshots from the first level of the single player game that I took.

Portal 2 releases today, Portal's story recap so far *SPOILERS*

Warning: This article contains SPOILERS.





Portal 2 is very likely going to release today, according to the viral marketing campaign going on right now that involves us buying and playing games in a package deal called the Potato Sack. These 13 games allow us to play their new Portal 2 based challenges to unlock Portal 2 early.





Anyway, here is a recap of the story thus far from Portal - so you can remember before your Portal 2 playthrough! *SPOILERS*


• 1) Chell in a test chamber's holding cell
• 2) Chell escapes the test chamber holding cell
• 3) Chell goes through some tests, meeting the computer GlaDos in the process
• 4) GlaDos messes with and taunts Chell as she goes along, with her sarcastic remarks and threats
• 5) Chell meets Companion Cube, her only friend
• 6) Chell is forced to kill her new friend, Companion Cube
• 7) GlaDos tries to cook Chell in Android Hell to bake her into cake
• 8) Chell escapes the clutches of GlaDos' Android Hell
• 9) Chell runs around the employee areas of Aperture Science, finding that all of them are dead
• 10) Chell randomly finds markings that tell her about how the 'cake is a lie,' left from another test subject
• 11) The other test subject escaped before her
• 12) Chell finally escapes the whole area, to find GlaDos awaiting her at the end
• 13) Chell kills GlaDos
• 14) GlaDos sings about how she's 'still alive'
• 15) There is cake and the Companion Cube is still alive


So, are you ready for Portal 2, now? I know I am! The story may have not seemed very epic, but it really was! And I'm sure that Portal 2's story will be way more epic than ever!

Portal 2 Leaked Endings Confirmed Fake

According to a large group of people analyzing the ARG (look it up...), the leaked endings are just fakes and the real endings have yet to be leaked. These false endings were put up as clues for the ARG, according to these people. I'll talk more about it when I get more details. For now, here are the endings again...

Portal 2 Leaks and Countdown - Endings and Intros!

Portal 2 has already had its fair share of leaks and things onto the internet! There are the endings, intros and many other things on the internet already! There is a countdown to about Noon on April 15th (Noon Eastern time, approximately).

Portal 2 is releasing early, deciphered through cryptic messages!!!?!!

Portal 2's mysterious and awesome developers have been releasing some strange cryptic messages over the past few days; now there's a mysterious clock ticking down to about Noon tomorrow! (Noon is approximate - Eastern). Now, people have deciphered that these messages probably mean the game Portal 2's early release for tomorrow!

What will this mean? Well, people who have bought the game on PC and Mac should be able to start playing tomorrow, already; there is mounting evidence to support this hyped theory: 1) Cryptic Messages Released by Valve 2) Messages Deciphered by Intelligent People 3) Portal 2 just had an update when I went on Steam! 4) All source games seem to have been updated today!



Finally, Portal 2 will be released and we will get our hands on the awesomeness that we've been waiting for since the second we beat the first game! :D - You KNOW you're looking forward to seeing GlaDos, Chell and your good ol' pal the Companion Cube! And of course, the new robotic characters that are in the two campaigns for the game. Plus, there might be cake... then again, the CAKE is a LIE! So I really hope this true, but like the cake, it might just be another lie
